Air con regas & recharge

A car's air conditioning loses roughly 10% of its refrigerant gas every year through normal use, so even a system that's never had a fault will eventually stop blowing properly cold — and stop clearing a foggy windscreen quickly too, since it's the drying effect of the air con that gets your glass clear so fast. A regas puts that right, whatever the season. We recover what's left of the old gas, pull a vacuum on the system to check it's sealed, then recharge it with the correct refrigerant and oil for your vehicle — R134a for older cars, R1234yf for newer ones. Every job finishes with a vent temperature check in front of you, so you leave knowing it worked rather than hoping it did.

  • Full recovery of old or low refrigerant
  • Vacuum test to check the system holds
  • Recharge with the correct gas & oil for your vehicle
  • UV dye added for easy leak tracing later
  • Vent temperature check before you drive away
Good to knowMost cars built from around 2017 onward use R1234yf gas rather than the older R134a. We'll confirm which your car takes and the cost before any work begins. Worth booking in before winter too — a healthy system clears foggy windows in seconds rather than minutes.
